Costa Rica Cano Island Tours
Costa Rica Cano Island Tours
On the boat trip to Caño Island we will pass through the Sierpe river mangroves and scenic Drake Bay. After snorkeling in the crystal clear ocean waters around the island, a light lunch awaits you at the beach. A knowledgeable guide will lead you through a mysterious trail to an ancient cemetery, and will then narrate and explain one of the truly fascinating artifacts left by an ancient Indian culture.
Cano Island is located in the Pacific Ocean, from the Osa Peninsula. Caño island is a biological reserve and because of its unique flora and fauna the marine life is highly protected. The island itself is covered with tropical rain forest consisting of approximately 158 different species of plants, among which giant trees grow over 150 feet tall. White sand beaches and an exotic inshore coral reef bursting with color surround the island
